Brooke Hogan continues to reflect on her estranged relationship with her late father, Hulk Hogan. The entertainer took to Instagram to share an emotional wedding memory with her late father, but the moment had a twist. It wasn’t real.
Brooke posted a clip from TNA Wrestling in 2013 on the social media site. She’s wearing bridal attire, and Hulk’s dressed in a tuxedo to walk her into the ring.
In a lengthy caption accompanying the clip, Brooke became emotional at the memory. She wrote, “Something hit me today. It may have been for a storyline, it may have been fake. But I remember this moment like it was yesterday.”
She added, “I actually teared up when I saw my daddy emerge in a suit to walk me down the aisle, into a wrestling ring of all things. I actually got nervous and emotional, as if it were real.”
“Then he whispered to me, ‘chill out, it's work.’”
She concluded, “But for some reason, I still felt proud. So, although I didn't get to achieve this experience in real life, unfortunately, I can try to fuse two happy memories into one and make a happy ending of my own to hold on to. I can officially say. "My dad did walk me down the aisle one time.’”
When Brooke married Steven Olesky in June 2022, her father didn’t walk her down the aisle. Nor did he attend the ceremony. The wrestling giant reportedly told Steven he “doesn’t do weddings or funerals anymore.” In turn, she didn’t attend Hulk’s third wedding to Sky Daily. Additionally, the wrestling pro never met Brooke and Steven’s twins, Oliver and Molly.
Brooke and Hulk had a strained relationship for several years. These issues were largely due to family drama, public scandals, and personal differences that played out in the spotlight.
