'Star Wars' Series 'The Mandalorian' Full Cast Includes Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Werner Herzog

More additions to the Disney+ exclusive series have been revealed.

Lucasfilm revealed its newest additions to the upcoming Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, which is set to be an exclusive show on their Disney+ streaming service.

It was previously announced that Nick Nolte (who was originally considered for the role of Han Solo) and Pedro Pascal (who has appeared in Game of Thrones and Narcos) were enlisted for the space opera.

Among those in the recently revealed cast is Carl Weathers, who is famously known for portraying Apollo Creed in the Rocky series. Emmy award-winning actor Giancarlo Esposito is also slated to join The Mandalorian. Oscar-nominated director and actor Werner Herzog will also play a role.

The show will be written and executive produced by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, the latter of whom will direct the first episode. Additional executive producers include Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Favreau, who is also spearheading the upcoming reboot of The Lion King. In a statement, Favreau said "we're having a great time working with this incredibly talented group and excited for everyone to see what we're up to."

Set to be the first live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian chronicles the events that take place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. It will premiere on Disney+, which is scheduled to arrive in fall of 2019.
