The reboot of the horror franchise Halloween was wildly successful, as the film pulled in almost $80 million during its opening weekend, making it the highest-grossing opening in the franchise's history, tripling its previous number. The Blumhouse release restores its authenticity by tapping members of the original cast (Jamie Lee Curtis, Nick Castle, etc.) to create a narrative that serves as the direct continuation of the 1978 original.
Michael Myers, the iconic antagonist, continues to be regarded as one of the scariest characters ever created, a big reason why Halloween's in the top 10 of our 50 Scariest Movies of All Time list. While adults in the real world can probably distinguish the fictional slasher from an actual threat, how do today's kids react to meeting Myers in real life? On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late-night host decided to find out, as he tricked kids into taking a picture with the masked villain.
