A funeral is typically filled with tears and somber faces, but one in Huntington Beach, Calif. left three senior citizens hospitalized. The three victims innocently ate brownies that were later revealed to be laced with marijuana. The unsuspecting victims were in their 70s and 80s. It was said that the brownies were served as a memorial to the deceased who had a past with medical marijuana.
Collegiate kush makes an appearance on Colorado campus.
University of Colorado students Thomas Ricardo Cunningham and Mary Elizabeth Essa distributed weed brownies to their entire class, including the instructor. A total of seven students and one instructor fell ill to these special brownies. Cunningham was charged with 18 counts of felony charges. It would have probably been a lot easier to just study for the class. Way to redefine "higher learning."

American judo fighter Nick Delpopolo was disqualified from the 2012 London Olympics after accidentally getting his hands on an edible. After failing a drug test, Delpopolo was booted from the competition and had his accreditation retracted. Who knew eating brownies was a pre-game ritual?

An employee unintentionally left the office more mellow than usual with brownies her son spiked. After finding brownies in her freezer, the woman decided to bring them to work as a generous gesture. Later, three employees experienced numbness and light-headed sensations from these edibles. These year-old brownies had the staff smacked beyond belief and they ain't even know.

Robert Dickson lost his job after a drug test proved the Railcorp employee had weed in his system. Turns out Dickson managed to get fired without even getting high. According to him, his girlfriend prepared a meal on the same counter top upon which she had handled her weed. This explained the positive test results. Dickson was later reinstated as a Railcorp employee.
Ohio law enforcement gets caught up in Mary Jane mix-up.
What do you call a police officer that accidentally gets high from a cake baked from hash oil? Ironic. Unsuspecting Ohio Police Chief Mike Berkemeier became disoriented after scarfing down a cake he thought was intended for his injured daughter. It wasn't until he was hospitalized for what was "the most awful feeling in the world" that his younger daughter revealed the contents of the cake. Cleaning up drugs on the streets starts at home.
All-natural cookies landed in the wrong hands.
A 2-year-old in Colorado was hospitalized after eating a marijuana cookie. The infant spotted the cookie on the floor outside of her apartment. In typical mommy-fashion, Aida Hernandez scolded her daughter for eating something off of the ground, but the THC had already begun to work its way through the toddler's body, causing her to become disoriented.
Plate of spaghetti a la cannabis, anyone?
Australian parents returned home from a night out with friends only to find their two small children in an extremely drowsy fit. Anthony John Patten and Karen Lee-Anne Anderson, caretakers for the night, fed toddlers spaghetti topped with a cannabis-infused pasta sauce. When interrogated by the police, Patten said he simply forgot that the sauce he served to minors contained cannabis.

Washington State butcher William von Schneidau takes smoked pork to a new level. Schneidau has found the secret to giving pork a richer taste: good ol' marijuana. The savory taste of his pork comes courtesy of Top Shelf Organic's medical marijuana. Business has been booming ever since the debut of his "pot pigs."
A Wendy's worker made this burger with a little extra love.
Fast-food employee Amy Seiber accidentally dropped a half-smoked joint onto a burger during her shift. After a customer found the surprise wedged in between the contents of her burger, Seiber was arrested and fired. The customer experienced symptoms resembling food poisoning, and Wendy's offered to pay for all related medical bills.
