For fans of Netflix's Baz Luhrmann-helmed series The Get Down, the time is now. It's been about seven months since you binged on the first six episodes of this new series, with a promise that it would be returning in 2017. Today, Netflix announced that Part Two of The Get Down's first season will premiere on April 7.
Set in 1978, this part takes place a year after the events of the episodes of the first half. Disco is still the top dog in the clubs, but that thing we now know as hip-hop is on the rise, especially in the Bronx. Books and Mylene are still the emotional core, but will they be able to survive the poverty, crime, and shady music industry? Only time will tell.
