On Sunday, the Lena Waithe's Showtime series The Chi will return for its second season on Sunday, April 7. If you're like us, you've been waiting for this since we got word of the release date back in January, and today, Showtime blessed fans of The Chi by dropping the full Season 2 premiere on YouTube earlier today.
In early March, the cast and crew behind The Chi spoke about how this season would give fans a "deeper" look at black life in Chicago. After the intense first season, series creator Lena Waithe (who wrote the Season 2 premiere "Eruptions" along with Ayanna Floyd Davis) said that this season is "about humanizing everyone." Judging by the early looks we've gotten, the ride is going to great more intense, and hopefully, have some wins for our cast along the way.
