With the long-awaited release of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's Bad Boys For Life, it's safe to say: movies you give a f*ck about are hitting theaters again! We're slowly easing out of AWARDS SZN bait films (many of which are dope, honestly), but looking out at the horizon of films set to drop in 2020 gives us goosebumps (and an immediate need for some popcorn).

This year, we're getting hit with a number of awesome feature films, including the first two(!) movies post-Endgame, bringing us directly into Marvel's Phase 4 slate. DC's not far behind, giving us two films from their own cinematic universe; hell, even Sony's making sure that the Spider-Man universe has a pair of movies to help flesh out whatever it is they are cobbling together. Sequels to some of horror's biggest hits of recent memory (A Quiet Place and the Halloween reboot) are dropping, as are the latest installments of some of Hollywood's biggest franchises, including Fast & FuriousSpongeBog SquarePants, and Ghostbusters. Mixed in there is everything from a few new Blumhouse productions, Disney's next live-action epic, and a host of revamps of classic series like Dune and Candyman.

We're not gonna hold you, though; we know you've got to get your calendar updated for all of this heat. Here are the most anticipated movies of 2020, and thank us later (or at least save us a seat).

'Bad Boys for Life'

Director(s): Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah

Stars: Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Paola Núñez, Kate del Castillo, Nicky Jam, Joe Pantoliano

Studio: Columbia Pictures / Jerry Bruckheimer Films

Release Date: January 17, 2020

No cap, we've been hearing about a third Bad Boys film since 2008, so just clap it up for the fact that Will and Martin could link back up for another one. Taking account for the 13 years between this and Bad Boys II, this threequel finds the dynamic duo at a crossroads: do you lean into your age, or keep it pushing. Ride together or die apart? With a host of new friends along for the ride, Bad Boys For Life has the potential to set the box office ablaze.

'The Gentlemen'

Director: Guy Ritchie

Stars: Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, Hugh Grant

Studio: STX Entertainment / Miramax

Release Date: January 24, 2020

Guy Ritchie's cockney caper films are always a treat, but adding Matthew McConaughey and Succession's Jeremy Strong to this swagged-out crime flick might be icing on the cake. McConaughey plays a man who owns the weed game in the UK and is looking to dip out; will it be an easy exit? We doubt it.

'Birds of Prey'

Director: Cathy Yan

Stars: Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina, Ella Jay Basco, Ali Wong, Ewan McGregor

Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures / DC Films

Release Date: February 7, 2020

Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn stole the show in Suicide Squad, and now this fan-favorite antihero's back to paint the town red (and blue) (and whatever other colors come to mind) with a squad of women who are just as badass as she is. OK, maybe not that bad ass, but you get it.

'Sonic the Hedgehog'

Director: Jeff Fowler

Stars: James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, Jim Carrey

Studio: Paramount Pictures / Original Film / Sega

Release Date: February 14, 2020

After fixing whatever they thought they were doing with the original Sonic the Hedgehog animation, this Sega-fueled movie finds the iconic video game character being discovered in the real world. Dr. Robotnik's here, too. We're catching Detective Pikachu vibes, but the jury's still out on if this will be as exciting as that movie was for fans of the franchise.

'Fantasy Island'

Director: Jeff Wadlow

Stars: Michael Peña, Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Austin Stowell, Portia Doubleday, Jimmy O. Yang, Ryan Hansen, Michael Rooker

Studio: Columbia Pictures / Blumhouse Productions

Release Date: February 14, 2020

At this point, Jason Blum can flip anything and make it fun for horror fans, but who would've thought that this version of the classic television show, about an island that could literally make your fantasies come true, would be ripe for the kind of thought-provoking morality plays Blumhouse could put on it? The CW's Katy Keene star Lucy Hale joins Michael Peña, Portia Doubleday, and many other "wait, I know that person" types for a twisted look at your wildest fantasies.

'The Photograph'

Director: Stella Meghie

Stars: Issa Rae, Lakeith Stanfield, Chelsea Peretti, Lil Rel Howery, Courtney B. Vance

Studio: Universal Pictures / Will Packer Productions

Release Date: February 14, 2020

Acclaimed director Stella Meghie and producer Will Packer are bringing black love to cinemas, with Issa and Lakeith being the black lovers in question. With everyone from fellow Insecure star Y'lan Noel and the always-hilarious Lil Rel helping round out the cast, this feels like the romdram many of us have been waiting to see hit theaters.

'Bloodshot

Director: Dave S. F. Wilson

Stars: Vin Diesel, Eiza González, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell, Guy Pearce

Studio: Columbia Pictures / Cross Creek Pictures / Bona Film Group

Release Date: February 21, 2020

Comics Rule Everything Around Movies, even if you don't realize it. Big Vin is back with a film adaptation of the Valiant Comics character, playing a murdered Marine who's brought back to life via nanotechnology. While he's got super abilities, the people who brought him back are using TF out of him...hopefully he doesn't realize this!

'The Invisible Man'

Director: Leigh Whannell

Stars: Elisabeth Moss, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, Harriet Dyer

Studio: Universal Pictures / Blumhouse Productions

Release Date: February 28, 2020

First conceived as a part of Universal's failed Dark Universe project, Blumhouse is now on hand to turn this classic tale of a *checks notes* invisible man who's out to terrorize his old flame. Elisabeth Moss is very shook, but also the only one who knows what's going on. Stay woke (or at least alert).

'A Quiet Place: Part II'

Director: John Krasinski

Stars: Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Djimon Hounsou

Studio: Paramount Pictures / Platinum Dunes

Release Date: March 20, 2020

The surprise hit A Quiet Place didn't feel like a film that'd need a sequel, but we trust Jim Halpert John Krasinski at the helm for round 2, which finds his family on the run from whatever those monsters are called. Sure, they have the key to destroying these things, but the monsters we saw don't appear to be the only monsters lurking on the outside.

'Mulan'

Director: Niki Caro

Stars: Liu Yifei, Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Gong Li, Jet Li

Studio: Walt Disney Pictures

Release Date: March 27, 2020

Love or hate Disney's latest crop of live-action remakes, this new take on Mulan appears to be the biggest epic they've attempted thus far. Bringing the tale many remember from the 1998 animated film is a Herculean task, but Disney's swimming in funds, and from early looks, Mulan doesn't appear to be one you should miss.

'The New Mutants'

Director: Josh Boone

Stars: Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, Blu Hunt, Alice Braga

Studio: 20th Century Fox / Marvel Entertainment

Release Date: April 3, 2020

The last X-Men project from Fox, The New Mutants has had a whirlwind of a trek to theaters—both before and after Disney gobbled up everything at Fox not nailed down. Set to be more of a horror flick, and reportedly not connected to the MCU anymore, it'll be interesting to see what a comic book/mutant film that was inspired by the third Nightmare on Elm Street film will actually look like on-screen, but we're here for it, in theory.

'No Time to Die'

Director: Cary Joji Fukunaga

Stars: Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Ralph Fiennes, Léa Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, Rory Kinnear, Billy Magnussen, David Dencik, Dali Benssalah, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz

Studio: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer / United Artists Releasing / Universal Pictures

Release Date: April 8, 2020

The 25th film in the Bond series, and Daniel Craig's last turn as Bond, is a huge f**king deal. Also helps that Mr. Robot's Rami Malek is on as a villain—those three facts should be more than enough to get you into theaters. When you add in Knives Out standout Ana de Armas, and the idea that "a new 007" factors into this story, it's full throttle, pedal to the metal. But we already had you at "Bond," amirite?

'Antebellum'

Director: Gerard Bush, Christopher Renz

Stars: Janelle Monáe, Eric Lange, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Gabourey Sidibe

Studio: Lionsgate

Release Date: April 24, 2020

Janelle Monáe is not only the lead in Season 2 of Sam Esmail's Homecoming for Amazon Prime Video, but she's the lead in this new horror flick Antebellum, which finds an author stuck in a nightmare that she can't escape. Wish we had more for you, but the fact that both Jena Malone and Kiersey Clemons are on the cast should nudge you in the direction of scaring the ish out of yourself for this one.

'Bad Trip'

Director: Kitao Sakurai

Stars: Eric Andre, Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish

Studio: Orion Pictures

Release Date: April 24, 2020

If you loved the Jackass films (or, more importantly, their offspring like Bad Grandpa) and The Eric Andre Show, this is your film. Andre, Lil Rel, and Tiffany Haddish somehow found a way to not look familiar while pulling all kinds of hidden pranks on unsuspecting folks, while spinning some kind of loose narrative. Probably best seen lit, with a couple of your homies.

'Black Widow'

Director: Cate Shortland

Stars: Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Rachel Weisz, Ray Winstone, William Hurt

Studio: Marvel Studios

Release Date: May 1, 2020

Post-Endgame, Marvel kicks off Phase 4 with...a prequel film about a character that got killed off in Endgame. Whatever, ScarJo kicking ass with rising star (and Oscar-nominated) Florence Pugh, Stranger Things internet daddy David Harbour, and the mysterious Taskmaster? We're here for it, we're just wondering what this film is hiding that could impact the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

'The Organ Donor'

Director: Darren Lynn Bousman

Stars: Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella, Marisol Nichols

Studio: Lionsgate / Twisted Pictures

Release Date: May 15, 2020

Coupled with his casting in Fargo Season 4, Chris Rock might be back to stomp a mudhole through anyone who thought he was washed up. This time, he's kicking the tires of the Saw franchise. How? It's hard to say, but a horror film featuring Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson? We're camping out for this one.

'Fast & Furious 9'

Director: Justin Lin

Stars: Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michael Rooker, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren

Studio: Universal Pictures / One Race Films

Release Date: May 22, 2020

Now that Hobbs & Shaw has given The Rock a space in the Fast universe, Vin, Tyrese, Luda, and Michelle can reassemble the family to tackle whatever insane enemy they have to take out. John Cena's here, as are Charlize and Helen Mirren, which makes this one truly fascinating. Fast is watch on sight, though, so we will save you a seat.

'The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run'

Director: Tim Hill

Stars: Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Clancy Brown, Mr. Lawrence, Carolyn Lawrence, Rodger Bumpass, Jill Talley, Keanu Reeves, Awkwafina

Studio: Paramount Animation / Nickelodeon Movies

Release Date: May 22, 2020

In the first true CGI SpongeBob film in the series' franchise, SpongeBob and Patrick go on a rescue mission, as Poseidon has kidnapped Gary and taken him to Atlantic City (no cap). During their mission, we get the backstory on how SpongeBob and Gary found each other, which should be dope for lifelong fans of the series.

'Wonder Woman 1984'

Director: Patty Jenkins

Stars: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen

Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures / DC Films / Atlas Entertainment

Release Date: June 5, 2020

Gal Gadot did the damn thing in the first Wonder Woman, giving hope to those who thought DC was an also-ran. For the sequel, they're taking it back to '84, chock full of mall sequences straight out of Stranger Things 3 and, oddly, Chris Pine, who we last saw get blowed up in the first film. Kristen Wiig's also on-hand, and if she sinks her teeth into what her character could be, this will be intriguing. Or just be another massive DC beatdown at the box office.

'Candyman'

Director: Nia DaCosta

Stars: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Colman Domingo, Tony Todd

Studio: Universal Pictures / Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer / Monkeypaw Productions

Release Date: June 12, 2020

While we're not sure if Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is going to portray in this Nia DaCosta-directed Candyman revamp brought to us by Jordan Peele, it'd be dope, right? A modern take on the Candyman story—which, mind you, is a CLASSIC horror film featuring the best black horror figure ever—with socially-conscious themes? It's right up Peele's alley, which means it's everything we want to see right now.

'Soul'

Director: Pete Docter

Stars: Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Questlove, Phylicia Rashad, Daveed Diggs

Studio: Walt Disney Pictures / Pixar Animation Studios

Release Date: June 19, 2020

Pixar, but with a dope black cast, with a jazz soundtrack? Recipe for amazingness. Foxx plays Joe Gardner, a middle school teacher who accidentally has his soul removed from his body. The film finds him working his way back to himself, which feels like it could be as beautiful and as emotional as the best films Pixar has brought us.

'King of Staten Island'

Director: Judd Apatow

Stars: Pete Davidson, Bel Powley, Bill Burr, Maude Apatow, Jimmy Tatro, Pamela Adlon, Moisés Arias, Marisa Tomei, Steve Buscemi

Studio: Universal Pictures

Release Date: June 19, 2020

This Pete Davidson / Judd Apatow project has been kinda hush-hush, but it's Pete and Judd, so you already know what time it is. Judd's daughter Maude, Better Things star/creator Pamela Adlon, Marisa Tomei, Steve Buscemi, and Action Broson (apparently) round out the cast in what should be a wild look at Davidson's life, including the loss of his firefighter father on September 11, 2001.

'Top Gun: Maverick'

Director: Joseph Kosinski

Stars: Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris

Studio: Paramount Pictures / Skydance Media / Jerry Bruckheimer Films

Release Date: June 26, 2020

Tom Cruise is one of the last movie stars, and his 1986 Top Gun garnered mixed reviews from critics while becoming an iconic fan favorite for the romance and drama swept up in this tale set between fighter jet pilots. Maverick (Cruise) is back, 30+ years after the original, locking horns with the likes of Miles Teller and a band of recruits that could use his particular brand of expertise. Hopefully this lives up to the iconography of the original.

'In the Heights'

Director: Jon M. Chu

Stars: Anthony Ramos, Corey Hawkins, Leslie Grace, Melissa Barrera, Olga Merediz, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Gregory Diaz IV, Stephanie Beatriz, Dascha Polanco, Jimmy Smits

Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures

Release Date: June 26, 2020

Lin-Manuel Miranda...ever heard of him? You've definitely heard of his musical HamiltonIn the Heights is the musical that he was known before the monster that is Hamilton, and now Jon M. Chu is bringing it to he big screen. Hamilton fans will love seeing Anthony Ramos as a lead, but real ones are happy that Vida star Melissa Barrera is also on-hand.

Stars: Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Taika Waititi

Studio: 20th Century Fox / 21 Laps Entertainment

Release Date: July 3, 2020

Ryan Reynolds is always fun, but this premise is intriguing: Free Guy is an open-world video game, similar to Grand Theft Auto and Fortnite. Reynolds is a non-player character (NPC) who gains sentience and decides to become the hero of his world. Dope concept ripe for all kinds of gamer gags from one of the heads behind Netflix's megahit Stranger Things.

'Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Director: Jason Reitman

Stars: Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts

Studio: Columbia Pictures / Bron Creative

Release Date: July 10, 2020

Didn't like the Ghostbusters remake from a few years ago? Maybe this version, which builds on the legacy of the first two films, but instead of a group of outcasts, we have some smart AF kids (including the homie Finn Wolfhard) taking up the mantle of ghostbustering. OG castmembers (including Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson) are set to appear, but with Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon on hand, we think they've got this covered.

'The Purge 5'

Director: James DeMonaco

Stars: Ana de la Reguera, Tenoch Huerta

Studio: Universal Pictures / Platinum Dunes / Blumhouse Productions

Release Date: July 10, 2020

We've seen the beginning and the end of The Purge, aka that night where damn near all crime is legal, with no repercussions, but word is that the fifth and final film is set to drop this summer. Previous reports had it being a heist story set during Purge Night, which could be a dope twist on the formula (similar to how The Purge TV series plays with the infamous trope), but it probably doesn't matter; you're more interested in the inventive new murder techniques and fanciful costumes, right? Happy Purge.

'Tenet'

Director: Christopher Nolan

Stars: John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Himesh Patel, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh

Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures / Syncopy

Release Date: July 17, 2020

An early pick for Best Film of 2020 without knowing much about it, one of our greatest living directors—Christopher Nolan—is back back. John David Washington stars as a guy trying to stop World War III (which is so damn relevant now) in a world where time travel is alive and well. Washington and Robert Pattinson (who is having his own renaissance as of late) feel like the right duo for this off-kilter thriller. We need this, ASAP.

'Bob's Burgers: The Movie'

Director: John Stevenson, Mark Osborne

Stars: H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman, Kristen Schaal

Studio: 20th Century Fox / 20th Century Fox Animation

Release Date: July 17, 2020

A film set in the hilarious world of Bob's Burgers? We can only hope it's as dope (and as successful) as the first film based on an animated Fox series, 2007's The Simpsons Movie.

'Morbius'

Director: Daniel Espinosa

Stars: Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Tyrese Gibson, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris

Studio: Columbia Pictures / Marvel Entertainment

Release Date: July 31, 2020

Jared Leto leads the second character introduced in Sony's Marvel Universe, Morbius, the living vampire. Michael Morbius is a doctor with a rare disease that he may have cured, while inadvertently giving himself the powers of a vampire. Friend or foe? It's hard to say, but it looks pretty insane; we're just hoping it helps flesh out whatever Sony has in store for their Spider-Man universe.

'Respect'

Director: Liesl Tommy

Stars: Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Mary J. Blige, Marc Maron, Tate Donovan, Tituss Burgess

Studio: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

Release Date: August 14, 2020

Jennifer Hudson stars in this Aretha Franklin biopic; truth be told, she feels like one of the few actresses who can handle that enormous task. With a cast featuring legends like Forest Whitaker and Mary J. Blige, this has the potential for coming close to Ray in the world of quality biopics about legendary black performers.

'Bill & Ted Face the Music'

Director: Dean Parisot

Stars: Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, William Sadler, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Samara Weaving, Kid Cudi, Anthony Carrigan

Studio: Orion Pictures

Release Date: August 21, 2020

We wouldn't be surprised if you hadn't checked out Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter's memorable Bill & Ted films; the second film did drop in 1989. Basically, these two dudes have a phone booth that lets them travel through time. They're now middle-aged dudes, and have to craft a song that'll save the universe. Kid Cudi makes an appearance, as do a number of their old friends and family members. Hey, this is what Keanu does when he isn't murdering henchmen in the John Wick films.

'The Many Saints of Newark'

Director: Alan Taylor

Stars: Alessandro Nivola, Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga, Corey Stoll, Billy Magnussen, Michael Gandolfini, Ray Liotta

Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures / New Line Cinema

Release Date: September 25, 2020

During the iconic run of HBO's The Sopranos, we got a chance to catch glimpses of the Newark that Tony and all of the older wiseguys grew up in. The Many Saints of Newark is a prequel set completely during their youth, with Chrissy's father Dickie Moltisanti being the main character of this tale. Many of your favorites make appearances, including the late James Gandolfini's son Michael, who plays a young AF Tony Soprano, as well as actors like Ray Liotta and Jon Bernthal.

'The Trial of the Chicago 7'

Director: Aaron Sorkin

Stars: Sacha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jeremy Strong, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Alex Sharp, Thomas Middleditch, William Hurt, Frank Langella, Michael Keaton, Mark Rylance

Studio: Paramount Pictures

Release Date: September 25, 2020

Aaron Sorkin's latest tells the tale of The Chicago 7, who were brought in front of the federal government on charges of conspiracy and inciting a riot during anti-Vietnam War protests during the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. It features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (who's really one to watch) plays Bobby Seale in this, among a cast featuring Jeremy Strong and, surprisingly, Sacha Baron Cohen. One to keep your eye on.

'Venom 2'

Director: Andy Serkis

Stars: Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, Naomie Harris, Stephen Graham

Studio: Columbia Pictures / Marvel Entertainment

Release Date: October 2, 2020

At the end of the terribly fun Venom, we got a hint of Woody Harrelson entering the franchise as Carnage. Everyone's favorite Hollywood figure Andy Serkis is in the director's chair(!) for this sequel, which we hope is as awesomely fine as the first. At the very least, just give us hella scenes of Tom Hardy and Venom chit-chatting about whatever the f*ck: the weather, decapitating foes then eating them, the 2020 elections. You know, everyday ish.

'Halloween Kills'

Director: David Gordon Green

Stars: Jamie Lee Curtis, Nick Castle, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, Anthony Michael Hall, Charles Cyphers, Nancy Stephens

Studio: Universal Pictures / Blumhouse Productions

Release Date: October 16, 2020

Thought Michael Myers was dead in the 2018 Halloween reboot? Think again; both Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle reprise their roles (again) in the first of two Halloween films announced in 2019 (the second, Halloween Ends, will be released on October 15, 2021). One has to assume that Laurie thinks she's taken her worst nightmare out, but we have a feeling Michael's going to torment her and everyone in his way throughout Halloween Kills. The question is...who makes it out alive after its all over?

'Snake Eyes'

Director: Robert Schwentke

Stars: Henry Golding, Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving, Iko Uwais

Studio: Paramount Pictures / Skydance Media / Allspark Pictures

Release Date: October 16, 2020

For as long as G.I. Joe has been a thing, kids have wanted to be the mysterious ninja known as Snake Eyes. Finally, we're getting a full-length Snake Eyes film, featuring current heartthrob Henry Golding (Crazy Rich AsiansThe Gentlemen) and Iko Uwais, who might be one of the illest action stars on the globe.

'The Eternals'

Director: Chloé Zhao

Stars: Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan, Gemma Chan, Kit Harington

Studio: Marvel Studios

Release Date: November 6, 2020

Marvel's second film of 2020, The Eternals, is also their second Phase 4 film. The events of Avengers: Endgame having crazy ramifications essentially awaken the crew known as The Eternals, which seem to feature all of your favorites in the game right now. With this squad not being as known as others, this could be some kind of Guardians of the Galaxy situation, in that we're blown away by some unknowns. Hopefully, it's going to live up to the previous three Phases while helping us figure out what's next for the MCU.

'Red Notice'

Director: Rawson Marshall Thurber

Stars: Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds

Studio: Netflix

Release Date: November 13, 2020*

Note: This film—which brings The Rock, Wonder Woman, and Deadpool together for what should be one raucous action-packed art thievery adventure—was last set to be released on November 13. That was before the film moved from Universal to Netflix in the summer of 2019. Now, who knows. Either way, with that trio, this one already feels like a winner...or at least the loudest way to spend two hours.

'Godzilla vs. Kong'

Director: Adam Wingard

Stars: Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Demián Bichir, Zhang Ziyi

Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures / Legendary Pictures

Release Date: November 20, 2020

The gang from Godzilla: King of the Monsters (well, at least everyone who made it out alive) is returning for the long-awaited Godzilla vs. King Kong. That's it; that's the premise. There's nothing else that should be enticing you to see this. Two of cinema's biggest behemoths doing battle? For two hours? With possibly the fate of the world at stake? We're IN THERE.

'Dune'

Director: Denis Villeneuve

Stars: Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Chang Chen, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem

Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures / Legendary Entertainment

Release Date: December 18, 2020

The legendary series is coming back with a stacked cast—everyone from current Hollywood IT boy Timothée Chalamet to WWE Superstar-turnt-film star Dave Bautista to Euphoria's own Zendaya—and Denis Villeneuve (ArrivalBlade Runner 2049) at the helm. Word is this is the first of a two-part adaptation of the iconic source material. A December release? This is going to make the holiday szn theater trip so worth it.

'West Side Story'

Director: Steven Spielberg

Stars: Ansel Elgort, Rachel Zegler, Ariana DeBose, David Alvarez, Maddie Ziegler, Corey Stoll, Brian d'Arcy James, Rita Moreno

Studio: 20th Century Fox / Amblin Entertainment

Release Date: December 18, 2020

Hollywood may not be able to escape remaking classics, but bringing in Steven Spielberg to redo the legendary West Side Story is a good look, and feels like an easy AWARDS SZN bait film. Essentially Romeo and Juliet set in the NYC of the '50s, Spielberg gets props for bringing the GOAT Rita Moreno back for this remake; for those unaware, Moreno won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar back in 1961 for her work on West Side Story.

'Coming 2 America'

Director: Craig Brewer

Stars: Eddie Murphy, Jermaine Fowler, Arsenio Hall, Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, James Earl Jones

Studio: Paramount Pictures

Release Date: December 18, 2020

Kenya Barris (black-ish) was tasked to help bring Eddie Murphy's hilarious 1988 classic Coming to America back to screens, and we're psyched. Prince Akeem (Murphy) is set to become king of Zamunda, but realizes that he actually fathered a son (Jermaine Fowler), who is set to become the new prince. It's up to Akeem and Semi (Hall) to find Akeem's son and show him the way. Having Wesley Snipes and Leslie Jones on board? We're hoping this both honors the original while also just being another dope chapter to black folks being funny and amazing on-screen.

'Uncharted'

Director: Travis Knight

Stars: Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg

Studio: Columbia Pictures / Naughty Dog

Release Date: December 18, 2020

For a video game like Uncharted, which felt so cinematic that you might as well be watching a film, it only made sense for the tale to eventually be brought to film. Wahlberg is low-key super consistent when it comes to the silver screen, and Tom Holland swinging into this one could be a dope pairing for this adventurous tale. No exact word on how deeply this game will flip the plot and themes of the game (if at all), but it could be one of the bigger action flicks to go see come year's end.

'The Last Duel'

Director: Ridley Scott

Stars: Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jodie Comer, Adam Driver

Studio: 20th Century Fox
