'SNL' Doc 'Live From New York!' Will Make Its TV Debut Ahead of 41st Season

SNL doc heads to TV in October.

If you didn’t catch Saturday Night Live’s 40th anniversary documentary during its limited run in theaters, relief is on the way. Live From New York will air this October on NBC, right before the 41st season premiere.

According to the AV Club, the 80-minute film features interviews and archival footage from former guests and cast members including Dana Carvey, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, John Goodman, and Alec Baldwin. It originally debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival back in April and received mixed reviews.

The special will air Oct. 3 at 8 p.m, just in time for Taran Killam’s run as Donald Trump.
