Kathy Griffin announced her first U.S. tour since the now-infamous Donald Trump severed head incident. In fact, her first two shows are set to take place right in "Trump’s backyard."

"I’m dipping my toes into touring again even though the Trumps and nobody wants me to work again," she told Bill Maher during an interview on Real Time Friday night. "I just booked today."

The first two dates will be at New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, which she labeled as Trump's backyard.

After the photo of Griffin with a faux bloody Trump head went viral almost a year ago, the comedian expressed regret if only because the 50-state tour she was on at the time was immediately canceled. "I wish I could tour in the U.S. without getting shot—I know I can’t," she said to Politico in December. "I was in the middle of a 50-city tour when the tweet happened. It was canceled in 24 hours." She did, however, embark on a long international tour, doing shows in 23 countries.

Griffin retreated from the limelight in the aftermath of the incident, only agreeing to a couple of interviews since last year. She was fired from her job as Anderson Cooper’s co-host of CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast.

Griffin joked to Maher about recreating the photo with a little more creativity. "I’d do Mike Pence. I’m kidding! Ten months I’ve waited to do that joke! Ten months!" She thanked the Real Time host for supporting her during a time when many did not. "Thank you for being one of the first and only people to publicly support me and say what happened is bullshit, publicly."
