It's time to put on your big kid pants because we've got a challenge for you like no other. This gauntlet of the 10 most grueling flash games ever conceived by mankind will test you in ways you never imagined. They'll frustrate you until you're sweating, infuriate you until you're smashing your keyboard, and cause you to doubt your own self-worth on even the most fundamental levels.

So, what say you, warrior? Dare to continue?

Karoshi Suicide Salaryman

Most games are about trying to survive as long as possible, Karoshi Suicide Salaryman is about trying to kill yourself as quickly as possible. This simple reverse of logic is enough to throw players for a loop as they try and maneuver through levels looking for the ultimate means of escape: death. Unlike most in this list, the game progresses in difficulty a little easier at the start, but it quickly ramps up the challenge as finding ways to enter a sweet eternal sleep becomes more and more impossible.

Give Up

The title of the game isn't a suggestion, but rather a premonition. You'll likely make it through at least a quarter of this one without thinking it's too much trouble, but before long the mounting obstacles in your single-room cell will become increasingly impossible as your GLaDOS-like tormentor taunts you from on-high. What makes this one particularly unique is the fact that it doesn't present new levels in new locations, but rather implementing new challenges in the room you're already in, making it a Simon Says-like experience of mastering just one more element with each progression.

Poto And Cabenga

Also released as a mobile game, Poto and Cabenga's cutesy art style may be invite you in all warm and lovingly, but the second Poto gets eaten by the giant snake-worm thing and you've got to manage both the rider and the steed's movement in parallel, you'll start facing frustration. It's like playing two seperate platformers, each with their own difficult controls, at the same time. Even the most focussed of minds will have trouble as this experience literally splits your brain in half to survive.

Meat Boy

Before he was all polished and selling millions of copies on Steam and Xbox Live, Super Meat Boy was just Meat Boy on Newgrounds. Although this simple flash game may not have all the polish of its Xbox Live Arcade successor, it's by no means any easier. Go back to the source that spawned all the meaty madness and see if you can survive this beautifully aggrivating adventure.

Chase Goose 2

I hope your touch-typing skills are up to snuff because a poor little goose is depending on them. Alternating the left and right keys to keep him moving, and then slapping the requested keys on-demand to perform a jump. The trick of the matter is that a massive worm-like monster thing is chasing you with intent to eat, so speed is of the essence. If this game doesn't improve your word-per-minute typing skills, it's unlikely Mavis Beacon will.

Primitive Pattern

It takes just seconds to play Primitive Pattern and it takes just as little time to lose the game. While it proposes a relatively simple task to players - click the 9 squares in a specific order - it requires a significant understanding of human psychology to get right. Rather than telling you the pattern, players are forced to guess not the most popular, but the second most popular pattern inputted by other players. You'll head down a rabbit hole of thinking what a person thinking about what other people are thinking about what other people are thinking so deep, you may never escape.

QWOP

Learning to walk may have been one of the more difficult tasks to get a grasp of in your formative years, but by now (hopefully) you've got some level of mastery over it. QWOP turns any pre-installed knowledge of kinetic motion on its head by forcing players to manually think about the simple process of left-foot, right-foot in order to progress. If this sounds easy, give it a try; it's just walking after all, right?

I Wanna Be The Guy (Flash Version)

Lives can be dedicated to accomplishing many great things. Determined people have climbed Mount Everest, cured diseases, and beaten Olympic records. Finishing the original I Wanna Be The Guy ranks among those feats in terms of difficulty and the winners' circle is just as exclusive. The flash version you can find online may not be identical to the original downloadable game, but by no means is it much simpler.

Winnie The Pooh's Home Run Derby

I know what you're thinking, "Oh, Winnie The Pooh. Oh, baseball. Oh, a little Disney-produced flash game... cute!" Keep your pompous attitude, buster, because it won't save you here. Winnie The Pooh's Home Run Derby is just about the most challenging thing you can ever imagine. You'll probably think you're pretty good getting past the first few pitchers, but I guarantee that by the end of it you'll be waking up at night in a cold sweat with one name on your lips; TIIIGGGEERRR!!!

Japanese Mario Kitten Game

If you're reading this, there's a good chance you've beaten the first level of Super Mario Bros. at least a couple dozen times in your life. Some might say they'd even be able to play it blindfolded. However, I defy you to beat the first level of Japanese Mario Kitten Game - a very close copy of the Mario game (with a few devious additions) - with even the ability to see the future; it won't help you outlast the sheer madness it contains.
