You should never be surprised by what you see on the New York City subway, hence why video footage of a woman carrying a snake in her bag on the train shouldn't shock anyone.
Befory the flurry of "snakes on a train" jokes begins, be warned that, according to Gothamist, MTA spokesman Adam Lisberg doesn't find this alarming:
At least he has a sense of humor about this situation, which, perhaps, everyone should. God forbid a snake actually liberate itself on the New York City subway, though. That would cause pandemonium.
