Tennessee native Phillip Sawdey didn't exactly rob a Huntsville, ALStarbucks, but he he still walked away with something. Around 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Sawdey walked into the chain and ordered the barista to hand him the money from the register.
Unfortunately for Sawdey, the barista was unable to open the register, so she offered to make him a free cup of coffee. He took the coffee, and police soon spotted him in a parking lot not too far away where he was arrested.
The lessons to be learned here are that coffee is apparently an adequate substitute for money, and that crime still doesn't pay.
