Officials in Germany say a cocaine shipment headed to the Vatican has been seized.
According to the New York Post, customs officials at Leipzig airport discovered 12 ounces of cocaine packed into 14 condoms hidden inside of a cushions shipped from South America back in January. The package was only addressed to the Vatican postal office.
A sting operation was organized with the Vatican police, but no one turned up to claim it. Authorities say the drugs had a street value of tens of thousands of euros.
