Netflix viewers rejoice, your favorite political drama is back to serve another term, albeit sans its central character, Francis Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey.

Chief content officer Ted Sarandos announced that House of Cards will go back into production in early 2018. The sixth and final season of the show will span a brief eight episodes. Spacey has been dropped due to multiple reports of sexual misconduct, including those crew members.

The popular series will now “star Robin Wright. And we’re really excited about bringing some closure to the show for fans,” announced Sarandos at the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference in New York. (Replacing a prominent male sexual predator in political office with a woman?! If only this were real life.)

This comes as great news to fans, but perhaps even better news to the roughly 2,000 Baltimore area residents who rely on the show for a job.

The Netflix original series had remained suspended indefinitely since Oct. 31 after initial allegations of Spacey’s sexual misconduct began to surface. The first allegation came from actor Anthony Rapp, who said Spacey “tried to seduce him” in 1986, when Rapp was a mere 14 years old. Three more men subsequently came forward, one of whom was a minor at the time Spacey gave him a cocktail and showed him pornography. It was not long before House of Cards crew members stepped forward, alleging that Spacey created a “toxic” work environment with his “predatory” behavior.

Netflix has also dropped Gore, a film about famous writer Gore Vidal in which Spacey was set to star.
