Critically acclaimed actor Lance Reddick has died at age 60.

According to TMZ, the Baltimore native—best known for his roles in The Wire and the John Wick franchise—was found dead Friday morning inside his Los Angeles home. Authorities are now trying to determine the cause of death, but don’t suspect foul play. Though the details remain under wraps, officials reportedly believe the cause was “natural.”

The tragedy came as Reddick was on a promotional tour for John Wick: Chapter 4, the neo-noir action thriller in which he played Charon in all four installments. The latest film, starring Keanu Reeves as its titular character, is set to hit U.S. theaters next week—nearly nine years after the franchise’s debut. He was expected to reprise his Charon role in Ballerina, a John Wick spinoff led by Ana de Armas.

Reddick earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music, and went on to attend the Yale School of Drama, where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree.

Reddick’s first on-screen role was for a 1996 episode of New York Undercover. He would go on to appear in films and series like 1998’s Godzilla, The Seige, The West WingLaw & Order, and The Nanny, before securing his breakout role as Cedric Daniels in HBO’s The Wire.

His upcoming projects include St. Sebastian with Danny DeVito, Shirley Chisholm biopic Shirley, the sci-fi drama Apteros, and the much-anticipated White Men Can’t Jump remake, which premieres May 19.

Reddick is survived by his wife, Stephanie Reddick; and children, Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick.

“Lance will be greatly missed,” his representative told ABC 7. “Please respect his family’s privacy at this time.”
