Druski Drops Trailer for 'The Diggers' Co-Starring Theo Von and Shane Gillis

The video announcement directed fans to call a Mississippi phone number for the fictional Digger's Funeral Home.

It appears Druski has expanded his filmography.

On Thursday, June 11, the 30-year-old comedian unleashed the official trailer for The Diggers, a comedy project co-starring Theo Von and Shane Gillis. As seen in the three-minute preview, the movie tells the story of Brandon Digger, a young man who inherits a funeral home upon his grandfather’s death. However, Brandon finds himself in a bit of family drama, as he learns his brother-in-law (portrayed by Von) also inherited a stake in the family business and his father’s wealth.

After seemingly coming to terms with their new partnership, Druski and Von’s characters struggle to keep the family business afloat. Of course, their efforts put them in unexpected and wild situations, including funny exchanges with Gillis’ medical examiner character.

“The Digger’s Funeral Home is open for business,” the trailer caption read. “For questions, or general inquiries please call us at 662.733.0104.”

The phone number took callers to a Mississippi voicemail featuring Druski’s voice.

“Hello. This is Brandon Digger, and I’m the proud owner of the Digger’s Funeral Home, as you may know,” he said the message. “People are dying to get in business with us. Yeah, we’re happy for your business. Please leave a brief message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Ciao.”

Details surrounding the project remain unclear; however, Von teased the release in an October 2024 episode of his This Past Weekend podcast with special guest BigXthaPlug.

“Me and Druski did a fake movie. It was, like, a fake movie that we made,” he said. “This shit was messed up. So the family is called the Diggers… Druski wrote it. The dad dies. Druski and his sister, they’re inheriting the funeral parlor, and I’m married to Druski’s sister, so I’m getting a part of the funeral parlor. And they're not happy about it.”

He continued: “But anyway, we’re at the funeral of the dad, the guy that died, and his name was Nathan Digger, right? So, I had to make a speech in front of all these people. And it was like — I don’t know if I can say this now — but I was like, ‘Man, this the best Digga we ever had in the whole world.’ And it was a room full of Black folks. I didn’t know any of them. And Druski and them are in the background just howling… It got really scary, even for a little while. Druski is hilarious.”

Stay tuned as more details about The Diggers comes through.
