Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. celebrated more than two decades of marriage over the weekend with a short and sweet post on Instagram.

"22 @realfreddieprinze 🥂💍👰🏼," Gellar wrote, accompanied by a photo of the couple smiling together.

According to People, the two did not immediately fall for each other when they first met on the set of 1997 horror movie I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Prinze told People in 2001 that they initially "didn't really dig each other," but everything changed when he gave her a ride to the gym one day. "We talked on the way up, and she was a cool chick," he recalled.

Gellar and Prinze tied the knot the following year and welcomed a daughter in 2009, followed by a son in 2012.

Days before the anniversary post, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star reflected on how time flies as their children set off on their first day of middle school and high school.
