Pedro Pascal shared on The Hollywood Reporter's Drama Actors Roundtable that he once got an eye infection from taking photos with fans who wanted to recreate his most memorable Game of Thrones scene.

Game of Thrones spoilers ahead: Pascal played Oberyn Martell, who brutally died when his eyes were gouged out by The Mountain with his thumbs in Season 4.

"I remember, early, because of Game of Thrones and the way that my character died, people were super into taking selfies with their thumbs in my eyes," Pascal said at the 2:13 mark. "At first, I was so, kind of, earnest and happy about the success of the character in the show, and I would let them...in New York, of all places!"

"I ended up getting a little bit of an eye infection," he added.
