David Wilcock, a paranormal author and YouTuber, died in Colorado on Monday (April 20) at the age of 53.
According to a press release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched Monday morning after receiving a 911 call from someone was suspected of “experiencing a mental health crisis.”
When deputies arrived at 11:02 a.m., they made contact with Wilcock, who was holding a firearm, outside the residence. “Within minutes of deputies’ arrival, he used the weapon on himself,” the statement reads.
Wilcock was pronounced dead at the scene.
A search of the home and surrounding area was conducted. No one else was found.
Detectives with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office are investigating his cause and manner of death.
Days before his death, Wilcock shared on X that he had been dealing with “some very intense stuff” over the weekend.
“Always remember that the Creator is within -- and we live in a loving universe,” he wrote. “I am very grateful to you for all of your love, care and support.”
Wilcock was a New York Times best-selling author with The Source Field Investigations and The Synchronicity Key. He regularly appeared on the History Channel television series Ancient Aliens and starred in the documentary Above Majestic, as stated in his bio on YouTube, which has over 500,000 subscribers.
