Netflix is urging everyone to not partake in the Bird Box challenge, which has people attempting various tasks—ranging from harmless to dangerous—while blindfolded. The streaming service's hit movie is centered around leads who wear blindfolds in order to avoid an entity who guarantees death once seen. In other words, they do it for survival, not Twitter.

Some people have put their own fairly innocuous twist on this latest craze.

Others have been downright deadly.
