‘Kraven the Hunter’ Trailer Introduces Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Brutal ‘Spider-Man’ Nemesis

'Kraven' is slated to be the first R-rated Marvel film from Sony.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson confirmed at CinemaCon earlier this year that his upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie would be rated R, making it the first for a Marvel film from Sony.

On Monday, the studio debuted a red band trailer for the villain origin story that delivers the blood and violence befitting of a fierce hunter and highly trained killer.

Taylor-Johnson, 33, plays Sergei Kravinoff, who becomes Kraven the Hunter after his father (Russell Crowe) seemingly leaves him for dead following a lion attack. His newfound powers give him enhanced strength, speed, and agility, in addition to a ruthless disposition, as evident by the scene where he bites someone's nose off without hesitation. Did we mention the movie's slated for an R rating?

According to The Wrap, the Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron actor signed on for several films, meaning Kraven the Hunter could likely cross paths with his most elusive enemy, Spider-Man. That said, Tom Hardy's Venom has made it through two movies without encountering Spidey, and Jared Leto's Morbius was in the same boat.
