HotNewHipHop reports that DMX is joining the cast of the upcoming film Chronicle of a Serial Killer, which tells the story of Henry Brolin, who targets women he believes will turn out to be like his mother.
Brendan Sexton is set to play Brolin while Tara Reid is also a part of the project. Yes, that Tara Reid. DMX will be playing one of the lead detectives attempting to track down Brolin.
Chronicle of a Serial Killer director Steve Stanulis spoke about why he believed the rapper/actor who has starred in such movies as Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, and Belly was a "perfect fit" for the role. "When my casting director suggested DMX it immediately resonated with me as a perfect fit," Stanulis explained. "I have no doubt he is going bring a different dynamic to the role and I'm excited to have him part of this talented cast. I'm looking forward to working with him and everyone else this summer."
Filming for Chronicle of a Serial Killer will begin in New York City in June. Complex has reached out to a rep for DMX for more information.
X was recently spotted at Kanye West's Coachella Sunday Service on Easter delivering a prayer, similar to what he did last month.
