An actor who starred in shows on Netflix and Nickelodeon is dead at age 55 after a tragedy.
Tony Germano died in Brazil after falling off a roof, according to People, which said he worked as a voice actor. His representative confirmed his death to the outlet.
"It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of actor and voice artist Tony Germano on the morning of Wednesday, November 26. Tony suffered a fall at his residence and, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries," Germano's rep told People.
The statement continued: "We kindly ask for respect and understanding during this painful time for his family, friends, and colleagues. Tony leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity and immense talent that touched everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His absence will be deeply felt."
According to the local publication Estadao 50, Germano "was living in his parents' old house and was making renovations to the property. He climbed on the slab and had a fatal fall."
Germano was known mostly for his work in theater, that site reported, including productions of The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Jekyll & Hyde - The Doctor and the Monster and A Violinist on the Roof.
He also was known "for his Portuguese voice performances in Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Go, Dog, Go! on Netflix and on the soundtrack of Disney's 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast," added Estadao 50, noting that "his voice also appeared in projects including Elena of Avalor and The Muppets."
Actor Miguel Falabella posted a tribute to Germano on Instagram after his death. "An untouchable professional, a dear friend, a gifted actor, I have had the privilege of working alongside him in a few productions, such as Annie and the Man de la Mancha among others," a translation read, in part.
