Fans have been eagerly awaiting Landman Season 2, the latest installment of the Taylor Sheridan series that features the travails and exploits of Texas oilmen.

Billy Bob Thornton spoke to Variety about what's to come, now that Season 2 is streaming, and he promised that there will be a lot "more." More of everything.

“You’re going to see who he really is at the end of the day,” Thornton told Variety of his character, Tommy Norris.

“He’s so busy in Season 1 that there wasn’t much time to take a breath. There are some very human moments in the first season, but this has more," he added.

"You’re going to see how he deals with family, business, his own mortality, just everything — all the thoughts that go through all humans, and things that you have to go through."

According to Thornton's interview, the characters are unleashed in season 2 because, in season 1, Sheridan "had to set the show up and explain the oil business to the audience. He had to introduce all the characters. Now, you can settle back and really get to know everybody, the family relationships as well as business relationships and the dangerous relationships, all of it.”

Season 2 features Thornton's character partnering with Cami Miller, a widow played by actress Demi Moore.

That partnership will be the focus of Season 2, which premiered on November 16 on Paramount+, according to Entertainment Weekly.

“The dynamic is certainly very interesting because he’s essentially telling her, ‘Look, you’ve got to listen to me because you've never done this before,’” Thornton told EW. “And her outlook on that is, ‘How am I going to learn if you do everything?’ That's really how the dynamic starts.”

According to EW, Landman Season 2 will focus more on family relationships.

"Now that the audience knows all the characters, Taylor was able to really dive into the relationships more," the actor said to EW. "Last season, we had to explain what this business was all about and who the people are."

Thornton added, "This season, he was able to really focus in the first few episodes on the family dynamic and the business dynamic. But this one really ramps up as it goes on, and there's more and more intensity."

The family dynamic is rounded out with the addition of actor Sam Elliott to Season 2. He plays Thornton's father.
