Fans have been patiently waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6 for years.

GTA 5 was released in 2013, so they've had a long wait. And it keeps getting pushed back.

In May, Rockstar Games announced that GTA 6 was coming on May 26, 2026. However, on November 6, 2025, the company pushed back the release date yet again.

"Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026," a statement on the company's website says.

"We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve," Rockstar Games continued.

"We want to thank you again for your patience and support. While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City," the company added.

In May, the company shared trailers for Grand Theft Auto 6 and hints about the storyline. "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive," Rockstar Games wrote then.

The trailers have millions of likes on YouTube.

"Who’s here after finding out it won’t release until November 2026?" a fan wrote in the comment thread.

Some fans expressed frustration over the delay. "Came to remove my like and put dislike," one wrote on the trailer.

"Better be a game of all time," another fan wrote.
