By now most anime aficionados have been able to systematically erase the travesty that was Dragonball Evolution, the terrible live-action American movie based on the classic manga franchise. But perhaps by clicking on this article it’s trigger some form of PTSD due to you locking the memory of it away in the back of your minds for so long. If so we apologise for bringing up those repressed memories to light — but you know who else wants to offer their apology? The film's screenplay writer Ben Ramsey.

Dragon Ball fan and writer Derek Padula connected with Ramsey in the hope of gaining an interview for a book that he’s writing. However what he got was an unexpected (and perhaps long overdue) apology for his part in the film. Published on Padula’s website, Ramsey said:

So there we have it, he seems genuinely sorry and we have to say kudos to him for being totally honest about his intentions at the time. We think that it’s fair to say that with a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 14% that Dragonball Evolution is about as entertaining as carpet burn. We would go on to list the many things wrong with this movie but it’s been covered so extensively (plus we'd be here forever) so you may as well just watch this video below to see how truly awful it is.

So what do you guys think of Ben Ramsey’s apology, are you buying it? Do you accept it after all these years of trauma or is it too little too late?
