For anyone lamenting the end of awards season, fret not: the 2015 MTV Movie Awards take place today in Los Angeles. The show will be hosted by the brilliant comedienne Amy Schumer and will feature performances by Charli XCX, Fall Out Boy, and Fetty Wap.

25.Florence Henderson Parodies Basic Instinct
Year: 1993
In the spoof "Basic Instinct: A Brady Bunch Interpretation," MTV gathered Peter, Greg, Cindy and Carol Brady to reenact the film's famous scene featuring Sharon Stone in the interrogation room—crotch shot and all! The three children question Mrs. Brady about her relationship with Sam the butcher, while real-life ex-lovers Florence Henderson and Barry Williams make eyes at one another. If only the real episodes of The Brady Bunch were as entertaining as this skit.
24.Sarah Michelle Gellar Gives Selma Blair Another Kissing Lesson
Year: 2000
For their kissing lesson in Cruel Intentions, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair emerged victorious in the "Best Kiss" category. After Blair suggestively thanked her co-star for "all those hours of practice," they shared a peck.
23.J.Lo Gets Down With Les Grossman
Year: 2010
Thanks to Tropic Thunder, Les Grossman—Tom Cruise in a bald cap and fatsuit—became a classic villain everyone loves to hate. However, it was hard to dislike the dude after he enlisted Jennifer Lopez as his dance partner for his flashy performance of Ludacris' "Get Back" and J.Lo's "Get Right," replete with butt-spanking and Cruise doing a split.
22.Tom Cruise Meets His Stunt Double, Tom Crooze
Year: 2000
In the skit "Mission: Improbable," Stiller played Tom Cruise's eager career-long stunt double—or, in Crooze's words, his stunt 'oneble'." We gotta admit, the resemblance was uncanny.
21.Lil Kim Arrives in Full Bloom
Year: 2001
While Lil' Kim would later perform "Lady Marmalade" with Christina Aguilera, Mya and Pink in lingerie, the rapper wasted no time giving a preview of her assets on the red carpet, wearing a flower bikini top that seemed more like a pair of pasties.
20.Lindsay Lohan Performs an Uncomfortably Sexy Opening Dance Number
Year: 2004
When Lindsay Lohan opened the 2005 MTV Movie Awards at the age of 17, the joke was that her parents Donald and Judy Lohan had to accompany her because she was still legally a minor. Lilo then proceeded to break out in a dance routine with the first You Got Served cast, even though Judy Lohan warned her that dancing "is for sluts." If only Donald and Judy could replace Lohan's real parents Michael and Dina, she could have skipped a lot of time on probation.
19.Paris Hilton Subs in for Carmen Electra's Fellow "Best Kiss" Winners
Year: 2004
That year, the infamous award for "Best Kiss" went to Owen Wilson, Amy Smart and Carmen Electra for their group make-out session in Starsky and Hutch. However, only Electra was present to accept the prize, which was almost a real shame considering it's practically mandatory for the winners to share an onstage kiss. Luckily, presenter Paris Hilton dutifully stepped in to do the deed, as Snoop Dogg looked on.
18.Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil Kim, and Mya Perform "Lady Marmalade"
Year: 2001
"Lady Marmalade" was a clash of the genre titans, with pop's Christina Aguilera, rapper Lil' Kim, R&B's Mya and rocker Pink all sharing the track co-produced by Missy Elliott. For this performance of the hit song off the Moulin Rouge! soundrack, the divas strutted the stage dressed as French hookers in the same lingerie worn in the music video.
17.Jimmy Fallon Stars in Star Wars Spoof
Year: 2005
For the 2005 Movie Awards, the MTV team parodied the biggest movies of that year with Jimmy Fallon. The best of the set was a scene cut from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Using Natalie Portman's original footage and dialogue, Fallon was edited into the scene as Anakin Skywalker responding with his own hilarious original script, making fun of OB1's house and calling "the dark side" his tan which he got from living near hot lava.
16.Sarah Silverman Insults Paris Hilton
Year: 2007
Hosting the 2007 show, Sarah Silverman took no prisoners, especially inmate-to-be Paris Hilton, who was scheduled to serve her DUI-related jail sentence two days following the broadcast. Discussing how the socialite would get special treatment, the comedian shared that the guards would be painting the bars to resemble penises, concluding with, "I just worry that she's going to break her teeth on those things." Cameras then zoomed in on Hilton sitting in the audience, looking pissed off at the jabs.
15.Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen Release Some Sexual Tension

When Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen won "Best Kiss" for their fiery make-out in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Baron had a bone to pick with his co-star: Ferrell hadn't called him since filming wrapped. After Baron slapped him Jerry Springer-style, Ferrell couldn't resist his advances any longer, resulting in the two comedians sharing a passionate, albeit awkward, kiss.
14.Justin Timberlake Feels Up Mila Kunis
Year: 2011
Sleeping with Mila Kunis through the entirety of Friends With Benefits, Justin Timberlake became the most envied person in Hollywood. Presenting "Best Male Performance," the pair almost relieved everyone when they denied the dating rumors, describing their relationship as brother and sister. But then Timberlake groped his co-star's chest, while she grabbed his nether regions, and we all became jealous again.
13.Sandra Bullock Plants One on Scarlett Johansson
Year: 2010
It had been a rollercoaster year for Sandra Bullock. Shortly after winning a "Best Actress" Oscar for her performance in The Blind Side, she divorced her husband of five years, Jesse James, after allegations of cheating. Making her comeback appearance at the 2010 ceremony to accept the MTV Generation Award, the actress surprised viewers by rebounding with none other than presenter Scarlett Johansson, kissing her after some on-stage flirtation.
12.Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Own "Best Kiss"
Year: 2010-2012
Having won the Golden Popcorn every year since 2010, it's a shame that the on- and off-screen couple got snubbed for "Best Kiss" in 2013. But let's recap their glory days: Teasing fans the first year they won, the couple barely escaped an onstage liplock. In 2011, Robert snuck one in on a hesitant Stewart. By 2012, Pattinson switched it up by running towards another Twilight co-star, Taylor Lautner, for a real wet one.
11.Russell Brand Jokes About Divorcing Katy Perry

Talk about awkward, Russell Brand made fun of his short-lived marriage to popstar Katy Perry stating, "The last time I did an MTV awards show, I did end up marrying someone that was there. So tonight I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for my next wife!" The couple met at the September 2009 MTV Music Video Awards and were engaged the following January.
Not to single out Perry, the comedian also took shots at Justin Bieber, Charlie Sheen and Kim Kardashian in his controversial opening monologue, leaving audience members cringing in their seats.
10.Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling Re-enact The Notebook
Year: 2005
Whether it's an innocent peck or a full-on French kiss, it's become a tradition for the victorious couple of "Best Kiss" to lock lips somehow. But no one expected Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling to completely reenact their winning scene from The Notebook, with Adams running and jumping into the arms of her former real life boyfriend.
9.James Franco and Seth Rogen Light Up on Stage
Year: 2008
To promote their film Pineapple Express, James Franco and Seth Rogen took to the stage to present the award for "Best Summer Movie, So Far," whatever that means. Franco joked about MTV enlisting them for the presentation, saying, "Only two potheads like us would be crazy enough to present this award." The actors then proceeded to defend the fact that they don't smoke by, ironically, lighting up a joint of some really dank fake weed on live television.
8.Will Smith Performs “Wild Wild West”
Year: 1999
If you need a refresher on how ridiculously huge Will Smith was around Y2K, here you go. Six words: Sisqo dressed like a cowboy stripper. There’s also a surprise appearance by a certain blind singer not named Ray Charles.
7.Adam Sandler/Britney Spears vs. Jimmy Fallon/Kirsten Dunst
Year: 2001
Kirsten Dunst and Jimmy Fallon were another great co-hosting duo, and here’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment with a little help from Britney Spears and Adam Sandler.
6.Jack Black and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s “Movies Kick Ass” Show Opener
Year: 2002
Who even knows how the producers came up with putting together Jack Black and Sarah Michelle Gellar as hosts for the 2002 show, but thank Yeezus they did, because they were some of the best hosts the show has ever seen. Their chemistry is wonderful to watch, and their cheeky sexual tension throughout makes for some hysterical moments. This clip also has a wonderful appearance from Brittany Murphy showing off her pipes. R.I.P.

4.Aubrey Plaza Pulls a Kanye
Year: 2013
To set the scene: Will Ferrell was on stage accepting The Comedic Genius Award. In a totally unplanned move, Aubrey Plaza runs on stage and tries to steal the Golden Popcorn. Her chest reads “#TheToDoList,” which is the name of the movie she was promoting at the time. The moment is so damn awkward, but Will plays it off relatively well. Apparently she was asked to leave the show soon after.
3.Jim Carrey Accepts Award as "Foghat"
Year: 1999
When Jim Carrey won the award for "Best Male Performance" at the 1999 MTV Movie Awards, he surprised the audience by accepting his award as Foghat. Method acting as the drug-induced musician, Carrey thanked his "new biker friends" and "MTV for giving us another reason to party." If it was up to us, we'd give him the Golden Popcorn all over again just for the possibility of another crazy shenanigan.
2.Eminem Gets a Face Full of Bruno's Butt
Year: 2009
Whether he's Ali G or Borat, Sacha Baron Cohen always stays in character—no ifs, ands, or buts about it. However, when Cohen dressed as a bare-bottomed angel flying over the crowd as the gay Austrian fashion reporter Brüno, there was a butt that got too close to Eminem's face. Even though Eminem was seen storming out after Cohen landed on him, it was later revealed that both guys were in on the joke.
1.Rihanna and Jay Z Perform “Umbrella”
Year: 2007
This performance introduced the world to the new Rihanna—the Good Girl Gone Bad. A lot of people wrote her off as a couple-hit-wonder before Jay Z took her under his wing and she catapulted into an insane level of stardom. It was electrifying to see Rihanna as a totally different persona coupled with an instant-classic song.
