We just posted a story about director Scott Derrickson being in talks with Marvel to helm Doctor Strange. While the talks seemed pretty official, we couldn’t confirm it, especially with Marvel’s recent struggles with directors. Thankfully, Derrickson himself took to Twitter and posted this:
This post pretty much confirms that he’ll be at the helm of Doctor Strange. Now we have to wait for the cast to fall in to place. There was a rumor a while back about Mads Mikkelsen being eyed for the role. This would make sense given that he came close to working with Marvel before in Thor: The Dark World. Until Marvel officially announces a lead, we can only hope. For now, let us know what you think about the hiring of Derrickson.
