Regardless of fans believing that twin sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry aren't still close with each other, the actress, author and reality TV star feels quite the opposite.

The Tia Mowry: My Next Act star was interviewed for the latest digital issue of Essence, and once again clarified that the misinterpretation about her and Tamera not being on good terms are untrue.

"There’s this special bond that we will always have that will never leave us," Tia told the publication. "What I meant by that was, she’s not as accessible to me as she used to be. That’s a part of life. Change is constant. But change does not mean that something is wrong."

In a sneak peek of My Next Act, Tia lamented that in the aftermath of her divorce from actor Cory Hardrict, that she didn't feel as 'close' to her sister as she was before.

"It's times like this when I feel and wish that my sister and I were still close and I could, you know, pick up the phone and call her. But that's just not where we are right now," Tia said around the 3-minute mark of the clip below.

Separately, Tamera would share on Entertainment Tonight that she wasn't invited to be on My Next Act and that news of the show was previously unbeknownst to her and that she found out like everyone else.

While reiterating that she and her sister are still cool, Tia explained that she didn't feel "close" to Tamera in terms of living in two distant locations, and that the twins don't tell each other "everything."

Earlier in the Essence article, Tia detailed why she chose to share her post-divorce journey on reality TV.

"Divorce is very common. It’s something that a lot of people experience but don’t talk about, because there’s an embarrassment behind it, and there are so many other negative feelings around it," she said. "I’m not saying that divorce is great, because it sucks, but it’s a part of our life. It’s not something that we all can run away from."
