Actress, singer and Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez isn't one for pocket-watching.

The 32-year-old was attending the 62nd New York Film Festival premiere of her new musical drama Emilia Pérez at Alice Tully Hall on Monday (September 30). During the event, she spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her new billionaire status. According to a recent Bloomberg Report (per People), Gomez now has a net worth of 1.3 billion, largely in part due to her cosmetic brand.

"I'm very grateful," Gomez told ET in the clip below.

"I personally think it’s distasteful to talk about money," she continued. "But I really am giving all the credit to people who buy the products. They’re the ones that made this dream of mine come true, so I’m really, really honored and just happy."

Earlier this year, Gomez told TIME that founding Rare Beauty was never meant "to be about making a lot of money and that’s it." Specifically, she denied that she plans to sell the company once it reached a valuation of $2 billion.

"I don’t have any plans on that, genuinely,” she told TIME, adding, "I will admit it overwhelms me sometimes. I have this weird thing in my head where if I focus on the numbers, I’ll lose whatever it is that made Rare Beauty Rare Beauty."

Launched in 2019, Rare Beauty has been a popular beauty business among celebrity and musician-owned cosmetic companies like Rihanna's Fenty Beauty and Lady Gaga's Haus Labs. Other endeavors that make up Gomez's portfolio, in addition to her music catalog and acting roles, are her investments in real estate and partnerships in brands like mental wellness platform, Wondermind.
