Ryan Reynolds lightly clapped back after his neighbor, businesswoman and iconic homemaker Martha Stewart, said he's "not so funny."
Stewart, 83, was a recent guest on Bilt Rewards' Rent Free game show, where she was asked about which celebrities are "the most fun to hang out with." Stewart correctly guessed Snoop Dogg, who was placed at number 3 on the list, before being surprised by the next famous name who made the cut.
"He’s probably on the list just ‘cause he covers himself up in his movies and you don’t see his face — Ryan Reynolds, is he one of those?” Stewart asked host Anukur Jain. She added, "And you want to know something? He’s not so funny in real life. No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious."
Stewart also guessed Brad Pitt and George Clooney before the top answer was Taylor Swift. "See, I was only thinking men," Stewart said, before calling the pop musician "lovely."
Stewart confessed that while she would keep Snoop and Swift on the list, Reynolds would be "off it" and replaced with Clooney "cause he's fun."
"George is really nice to hang out with," Stewart said.
She added that Reynolds is "a good actor" who "can act funny, but he isn’t funny." "Maybe he can get to be funny again," Stewart continued, adding, "I’m going to get in trouble. He’s my neighbor."
The Deadpool & Wolverine star reacted to Stewart, who's his neighbor in Bedford, New York, joking that she once put him in his place.
"I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so," Reynolds wrote on X.
While Reynolds' humor might be up for interpretation, Stewart brings the laughter and truth in her new Netflix documentary, Martha, now available to stream.
