Nia Long has filed a court-appointed order of protection against a woman who’s allegedly been stalking and harassing her.
According to TMZ, the Michael star claims that the woman, Carrie McDonald, has repeatedly come to her Los Angeles home uninvited and is under the misbelief that they’re romantically involved. In the court filing, Long alleged that the woman “is a stalker” whom she doesn’t know, although she’s spent the last two years sending her unwanted gifts including cards and flowers.
McDonald has allegedly come to the actress’ L.A. residence twice, the most recent time being last Saturday (March 21). The woman is said to have rang the doorbell, to which the police were called and arrested McDonald. Nearly two years before, in 2024, Long claims that McDonald came to the home at night and demanded that the actress open her door, to which police gave the woman a “strong warning.”
Long requested a temporary restraining order for herself along with her sons, 25-year-old Massai Dorsey II and 14-year-old Kez Udoka, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka. The former couple split in December 2022 after reports surfaced that Udoka became romantically involved with a female staffer of Boston Celtics, which he had coached since 2021. The former NBA player ended his contract with the Celtics in early 2023.
Long, who was initially angered that the Celtics organization allegedly hadn’t contacted her about how the affair was handled, has since shared that her and Udoka have found “peace” as co-parents.
"This summer, I traveled with my youngest son [Kez] and my ex, Ime. We had a great time," she told The Cut last year. "It was really beautiful because we’ve had a very public journey that has found its way to peace and understanding. And there’s a lot of mutual respect that we have for each other."
