Martin Lawrence hilariously dismissed rumors about his health during a stand-up performance in Detroit this week.
On Friday (August 30), the actor-comedian was performing at Little Caesars Arena as part of his Y’all Know What It Is! Tour, where he opened his set with jokes about stroke allegations.
"Motherfuckers talking about me and shit," he said around the 1:05 mark of the video below. "Talking about I had a stroke and shit. Does this look like a motherfucker that had a stroke?"
The 59-year-old demonstrated how agile he is, hopping across the stage before adding, "That look like a motherfucker that had a stroke? I be strokin'."
"Then they talking about I'm talking slow and lethargic and all that..I'm probably high," he continued.
During the theatrical rollout of Lawrence's latest flick, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, some on social media noticed that in a few interviews, Lawerence appeared to be disoriented. He would ultimately dispel the speculation on Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning.
"I’m fine. I’m in Gods hands," Lawrence told the host. "I’m blessed. I’m glad to be waking up everyday and everything. No need for people to be concerned."
He continued, "I'm healthy as hell. Stop the rumors."
