Martha Stewart has smoke for her former parole officer for preventing her from taking on a Saturday Night Live hosting opportunity.

On Monday night (January 27), the lifestyle businesswoman and author was a guest on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, where she reflected on the denial from her P.O.

At the beginning of the interview, Fallon brought up Stewart being impersonated on the long-running NBC comedy variety show nine times, and asked if she'd ever want to guest host.

“I wanted to, and they asked me as I was coming out of Alderson–that camp that I was in for a while–and my parole officer wouldn't give me the time to do it,” Stewart explained.

From October 2004 to March 2005, Stewart served time at West Virginia's Alderson Federal Prison Camp for fraud in connection with the ImClone insider trading scandal.

After Stewart mentioned that she was permitted to be outside her home for eight hours per day, Fallon asked, "And the parole officer said 'No?'"

After confirming that the P.O. wouldn't, Stewart joked, "That bastard."

"I still have his name and his number...I’m so pissed," Stewart continued. "Maybe someday."

After adding that she'd be "amazing" at the guest host role, Stewart said, "Start a campaign!"

Stewart was convicted in 2004 on conspiracy and obstruction of justice charges related to the December 2001 trading of her stake in the biopharmaceutical business ImClone Systems. She was sentenced to five months in prison and two years of supervised probation. As seen in her recent Netflix documentary, Martha, the media personality made a comeback on cooking show The Martha Stewart Show and former NBC reality show The Apprentice, hosted by now-president Donald Trump.
