The oldest son of Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song, three-year-old Dakota Song Culkin, somehow remembers being in his father's holiday comedy film series Home Alone.
The couple, who've been engaged for two years, also have a two-year-old son, whose name they haven't revealed, but Dakota closely identifies with Culkin's childhood character, Kevin McCallister.
"He thinks he's Kevin," Macaulay told E! News. "I'm like, ‘Do you remember going down that down the stairs on the sled?' He's like, ‘Mmhmm, yep. Sure do.' I'm like, ‘Do you remember when he had yellow hair?' And he's like, ‘Uh-huh, yep.'"
Macaulay mockingly calls out his oldest son, as Dakota even believes he "fought the burglars" himself, referring to the film series' "Wet Bandits," Marv Murchins (Daniel Stern) and Harry Lyme (Joe Pesci).
Culkin recounted calling Dakota "a lying liar who lies." "That was me!" he added.
But when Dakota first watched the flick, Culkin fondly recalls his son "doing the googly dance thing." "And so I got up and started doing the dance with him. I already enjoyed doing it, but now it means something else," he continued.
While telling his sons the Home Alone plot "as it goes," the former child actor has also learned to embrace the Christmas franchise that jumpstarted his career.
"I'm kind of embracing it and, at the same time, taking the piss out of it, too," he said. "It's very rare when you have something that kind of encompasses an important day, and I'm a part of that. It's more fun to embrace it than to fight it."
The actor references Home Alone in a new Uber Eats 'Carolers' campaign.
