Khloé Kardashian doesn't want her daughter, True, to be disappointed in thinking that she isn't married to her father, Tristan Thompson.
On the latest episode of Hulu series The Kardashians, Kardashian said their daughter True thinks her parents are still together.
The revelation unfodled while Kardashian drove alongside her best friend, Malika Haqq, while prepping for her 40th birthday party. The ladies discussed being unmarried when Kardashian brought up True believing that her parents are married.
“True thinks me and Tristan are married,” Kardashian said.
"It’s just probably better for her. It’s not like she would really understand," Haqq suggested. "It's okay."
"It is the right thing to do. In my opinion. Get married, have kids. That’s what I want to teach her," Kardashian replied.
In a confessional, Kardashian explained that she doesn't want her daughter "going through life thinking this is what a marriage is."
"That you’re married to someone and they don’t live with you and you never have to kiss them, or you don’t sleep in the same bed together," she explained
Kardashian added that she'd love her children to see her "one day" have a husband, from who she receives "love and affection and romance."
"I do want them to have that. And when she’s older, I can explain it to her," Kardashian shared. "But right now, I believe you do things for your kids because kids should not be involved in adult problems."
Throughout their relationship, Thompson cheated on Kardashian multiple times, with the NBA player welcoming a son with Marlee Nichols in December 2021.
Kardashian and Thompson dated on and off from 2016 to 2021 and share True, 6, and a 2-year-old son, Tatum.
