A drinking session with Seth Meyers nearly took out Kevin Hart.
To promote his new BET+ adult animated series Lil Kev, Hart guested on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where he participated in the show’s 'Day Drinking' segment. The actor-comedian previously grabbed drinks with Meyers in 2024. Other guests of the program include Rihanna, Lizzo, Kristen Stewart and more.
Seven minutes into their latest interview, Meyers brought up their 2024 drinking moment, to which the Gran Coramino founder joked that they "got a reality check."
"I came into that day with such an idea of who I thought I was," Hart continued. "I was like, 'This gonna be crazy. I'm gonna drink with Seth, show him what I do because I know I drink like I used to'—and I almost died. There was really a chance where it was over."
"And then you called me the next morning and yelled at me like I had tried to kill you," Meyers interjected.
Hart said that he remembered "bits and pieces" from filming, but somehow landed on the ground after taking a couple of swigs.
"I remember being on the floor, laying on your chest, and not knowing how I got there," Hart recounted. "And then I remember being in a car and for some reason, all the cheese on the pizza slid off and it was on my stomach."
"I remember saying, 'Why would y’all pay for this? Why would you buy me the idea of pizza with no cheese?' And it was all on my chest," he continued.
Elsewhere, Hart added that the Jumanji-themed drinking game was "definitely a moment of truth."
But according to Hart, the two "didn't learn their lesson," because around the 10-minute mark of the video below, Meyers got him to play a slot machine drinking game. The host landed on a mix of gin, vodka and rum.
"Take your time. By the way, before, I was like, 'Pound it. Don't be a bitch,' Meyers joked. "Now I'm like, 'Hey, take your time, man. Take your time, Seth. I care about you."
Hart scored a mix of vodka and two pours of champagne, joking that he was "stalling" before downing the drink.
