Model and actor Jeremy Meeks, best known for his viral mugshot in 2011, has taken a break from bedroom activities.
While attending the Dutch III: International Gangster premiere in late July, Meeks had a quick chat with journalist Shirley Ju and revealed that he's been celibate for the past few years. In 2018, Meeks divorced his then-wife, Melissa Meeks, after ten years of marriage. The ex-spouses share a son and broke up after he was spotted having an affair with a Brittish actress and the daughter of former Topshop owner Philip Green. With Green, Meeks has a younger son, Jayden Meeks-Green, who was born in 2018.
In the clip below, Ju asked Meeks about his "biggest turn on" which he was hesitant to answer. "I don't have a girl," he said. "I've been celibate for almost three years."
When asked why, Meeks answered, "'Cause I'm not being distracted."
Elsewhere in the interview, Meeks was asked about how "crazy" his DMs are, but the model denied reading them.
"I do not partake in social media. It's smoke and mirrors, it's not real," Meeks said, although he has 1.4 million Instagram followers.
In a 2020 interview with Extra, Meeks shared that he was single but had fostered better relationships with his ex-wife and Green. "We're all co-parenting. They are incredible mothers," he said at the time.
In 2014, Meeks was arrested on charges of firearm possession with a felony and was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison. The Model Citizen author served 13 months and embarked on a modeling career after his release.
