In a new vlog, Jeannie Mai pointed out her flaws and revealed that she’s undergoing a series of plastic surgery consultations.
The media personality and former co-host of The Real explained that while she’s “not chasing perfection,” she’s noticing changes in her appearance after turning 47-years-old in January. Mai is also a mother to a 4-year-old daughter, Monaco Jenkins, whom she shares with her ex-husband, rapper Jeezy.
At the start of the vlog, Mai said that she felt as though she was “looking a little old” and returned from Korea, where she booked 2 surgery consultations.
“I can't believe I'm actually at this place where I'm considering plastic surgery,” she explained. “And honestly, it's crazy ‘cause I don't feel old. I just do notice some things that come with age make me want to be honest about what are the options out there.”
“I'm 47 and I don't think anybody prepares you for the moment that your face starts changing before you actually feel old inside,” she continued.
Mai went on to share that when meeting people, they’ll unintentionally compare her to younger versions of herself from being on different television shows. “I know I shouldn't be, you know, internalizing every compliment so much, but I'm a woman,” Mai continued.
Mai later explained that seeking surgical enhancements is “not about wanting to look younger,” and shared that “it’s more of wanting to look as alive on the outside as I still feel on the inside.”
“Can you love yourself deeply and still want to tweak something? I think the answer is yes,” she continued.
Jeannie, who was last romantically linked to Grammy-winning musician Anderson .Paak, has also vlogged about dating as a single mother and recovering from divorce 2 years later.
