Glen Powell has offered the chance of a lifetime to one lucky family member of his lookalike competition winner.
Ahead of the actor's lookalike competition in his hometown of Austin, Texas, on Sunday, November 24, Powell posted a surprise video where he explained the grand prize.
"Welcome to the Justin Hartley lookalike contest," Powell said in the video below, joking about his resemblance to the actor-director. "In all seriousness, I’ve assembled you here today at Auditorium Shores for an important mission. I want to pull off a heist. We don’t need masks because we all have the same face, it’s the perfect crime. They can’t get all of us because we are one. A criminal Glen-terprise."
The Twisters star added that he might've been shooting overseas and couldn't make the occasion and that a hat and cash prize were "at stake" before revealing his "personal" prize to the top winner.
"Now you may know that my parents make a cameo in every movie I make, but today, the winner of the Glen Powell lookalike contest wins their parents, or any family member of their choice, a cameo in my next movie. I am completely serious," he said.
Joking that the cameo opportunity is "a cash-value prize of $6 billion," Powell invited participants to enjoy his "favorite city in the world."
"Keep Austin weird, hook ’em horns and see you 'round. Every time I look in the mirror," the actor joked at the video's conclusion.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, Powell's mother, Cyndy Powell, and aunt, Kathleen Fish, were present during the lookalike festivities, where a man named Max Braunstein won. Braunstein, who wore a costume that resembled Powell's in Top Gun: Maverick, took part in a post-event video call with Powell, also winning a cowboy hat and free Torchy's queso for a year in addition to the monetary prize and cameo for a family member.
