Colman Domingo might not be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet, but the actor would probably join without hesitation.

The Rustin actor was interviewed for a new Haute Living cover story, where he expressed being a part of "meaningful work" in television and film. But Colman, 54, added that he's eager to do "heavy lifting work," one being involvement the box office-booming Marvel.

"But I’m always drawn to this sort of heavy lifting work. Now, after doing this work for over 33 years, I do realize why," Domingo told Haute Living. "It’s because I’m very curious about people, I’m very in tune with others, and I want to craft work that will hopefully do some good in the world. I would welcome the opportunity to do a Marvel film or something like that, but I also think that I’m being used — and 'used' is the right word here — for high vibrational, highly intentional, highly mindful work."

Elsewhere, Domingo continued, "Also, I’m attracted to both heroes and villains; I want to find humanity in both. If I feel like it’s an easy path, I don’t want it. I want the more complicated, but deliberate and intentional, road."

Domingo, who's notably played a villain role in the 2020 film Zola, was reportedly in talks to replace Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror earlier this year. While Majors played Kang in last year's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and variations of the character in Loki, he was dropped from Marvel after he was found guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

Kang was set to be the major villain during Phase 6 of the MCU, but has since been switched with Doctor Doom, who will be played by Robert Downey Jr.
