Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden started May with surprise news: they’ve expanded their family.
On Sunday (May 3), the Good Charlotte guitarist, who married Diaz in 2015, posted an announcement on Instagram to reveal that the couple has welcomed their third child, Nautas Madden. Diaz and Madden have two older children via surrogacy, a daughter, Raddix Wildflower Madden, and a son, Cardinal Madden, 2.
On Instagram, Madden posted a replica of a trading card with a pirate ship illustration, along with the pronunciation and meaning of Nautas. “Sailor, Navigator, Voyager. One Who Embarks on a Journey and Fears Not the Unknown,” the illustration reads.
“Cameron and I are Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third Child, Nautas Madden. Welcome to the world Son!!👊❤️” the caption reads.
“We love life with our family- our kids are healthy&happy, and we are grateful!!!🙏🙏having a blast ❤️Sending all our best wishes- the Madden Family ❤️🙏👊🏴☠️” the caption continued.
Also in the carousel was a painting of a Northern Cardinal, a drawing of two horses, presumably by Raddix, along with an illustration of a compass with a message that reads, “Every Great Legend Begins with a Single Voyage.”
Diaz and Madden have surpassed their tenth wedding anniversary, which was celebrated last January. At the time, the rocker shared a never-before-seen photo of him and his wife in nature. “Wife, Mommy, friend, partner, Boss, and lover. We just hit 10 YEARS married on January 5th and every year only gets more fulfilling,” Madden captioned the post.
Diaz, who last starred in black comedy-drama Outcome and will next return to the Shrek franchise, had taken a decade-long hiatus from Hollywood until being cast in last year’s Back In Action. As revealed during a Fortune summit in 2024, Diaz took a step back from Hollywood to be a mother and wife.
