Colorado gets most of the attention, so it's easy to forget that marijuana is also legal in Washington. Despite that one rogue officer has been issuing a shit ton of a marijuana tickets. A Seattle prosecutor is dropping approximately 100 charges for smoking in public, because most of them (80-ish percent) have been issued by a single officer who is strongly and publicly against the legalization of weed.
Homeboy clearly isn't taking the new marijuana laws seriously. In one incident he admitted to flipping a coin when deciding if he should write a ticket for two people caught smoking pot in public. Despite this, the cop has only been given a temporary reassignment.
Maybe now he'll realize it's not that law that's "silly." It's him.
