Jimmy Donaldson, more commonly known as MrBeast, could be responsible for the next big anime remake.

After the account @AniTVOfficial posted a quote from the Wit Studio CEO about the popular One Piece remake, Donaldson responded with an all-caps message. It said: “Can we please get one for Naruto? I’ll help fund it.”

Donaldson has a strong connection to Naruto. The anime helped him gain popularity on his record-breaking YouTube channel, which now has 472 million subscribers and branched into the hit reality competition show on Amazon Prime, Beast Games.

The first video that really took off on Donaldson’s channel back in 2017 was inspired by his interest in watching more anime. When discussing the idea behind it, he said: “I was watching a show called Naruto. And it’s like 700 episodes. But I couldn’t justify the time to watch it.” He goes on to say that he started thinking: “What can I do to make money while I watch this anime for 60 hours?”

The end result was his famous video, I Counted to 100,000!, which was originally 40 hours long and has 33 million views. Although the video makes it look like he’s simply staring into the camera for hours on end, Donaldson admitted: “The entire time I counted to 100,000 I was just watching anime. So I basically made money while watching anime.”

However, Donaldson’s connection to Naruto doesn’t end there. Recently, he has collaborated with the franchise to release a line of merchandise. In the Instagram post announcing the collab, he said: “Naruto is the best anime ever made and I asked if we could do a merch drop together and for some reason they said yes.”

Available for purchase in the MrBeast Store, the anime-inspired collection includes jackets, tees, hoodies, and hats.
