A fight broke out inside a Central New York Walmart on March 29. It began as a verbal dispute in the Subway restaurant section of the building. Then it escalated into a physical altercation that involved a woman being struck with a chair. The fight proceeded to spill outside the building, and the police were called.
Six people were involved in the altercation. One of them, Kyle Quinn, was arrested for striking a woman with a metal chair. According to a local Syracuse news site, he was charged with “fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon (misdemeanor)” and “second-degree harassment (violation).”
The woman who was struck by the chair was treated by EMS at the scene. She declined any further medical care. The investigation is ongoing.
This isn’t the first time there has been a fight inside a Walmart. There was a brawl in an Indianapolis store in late 2025 that was captured on video.
TMZ’s clip “shows worker Tikerra Hicks being grabbed in the checkout aisle as multiple women rain punches and stomps on her.” They went on to explain, “As bystanders try to pull the women off, a man jumps in and kicks Hicks while another suspect keeps swinging. The chaos only stops after Walmart staff and customers drag Hicks away, though her attackers continue hurling insults and even toss an object at her.”
Another angle of the fight, uploaded to Instagram, was captioned: “Chaos erupted inside an Indianapolis Walmart off Keystone Avenue after a fight between multiple female shoppers and an employee turned into a full-on brawl.”
One of the comments on the video said, “Soooo Walmart security is only good for shoplifting and not these kinds of disturbances?” Another said, “I would’ve walked out with my whole cart… It’s so much drama in here that now I can’t pay for this stuff.”
