Fans of the hit show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are hopeful that a spinoff starring Whitney Leavitt and her husband, Conner Leavitt, may be in the works.
Whitney responded to rumors about a potential spinoff in a cryptic TikTok post on March 31.
She included a video of herself dancing to the song "In the Navy" by The Village People, while her husband could be seen dancing along in the background.
She overlaid the video with text that read, "How it feels knowing y'all want a Leavitt spin off” and captioned the video, "👀👀👀🤭”.
“This may or may not be happening 👀,” Conner teased in the comments.
In recent weeks, the future of ‘MomTok’ has been in question after filming for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was abruptly halted.
The pause came after cast member Taylor Frankie Paul became the subject of intense public controversy when a video from a domestic violence incident involving her and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, was shared online.
The incident, which involved Paul yelling and throwing chairs in front of her young daughter, led to her arrest.
Though the incident took place back in 2023, the backlash from it was enough for ABC to decide to cancel the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, in which Paul was to star as the lead.
It was also enough for the cast members of SLOMW to decide it was necessary to pause filming. A source reached out to People, explaining more about the thought process behind the decision.
“The girls are very overwhelmed. They all banded together, and they don’t want to come back right now," the source said. “They were just getting tired of Taylor, honestly."
Cast member Mikayla Matthews confirmed this.
“It was a decision that all us girls came up with and agreed on,” she said. “We didn’t feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening.”
