After the recent season of The Bachelorette was unexpectedly canceled, model and influencer Kayla Nicole is throwing her name into the ring as a replacement for the lead.
Nicole, who is the founder of the health and wellness brand Tribe Therepē, is known for her very public romance with NFL star Travis Kelce, before his relationship and eventual engagement to Taylor Swift.
On March 25, Nicole shared a TikTok video in which she lip-synced an audio from comedian Jason Banks, in which he attempts to put together an exaggerated dating profile.
“My audition to be the next Bachelorette,” she wrote.
The caption of the video was “Hey @ABC, heard you need a stand in?”
While Nicole may have been primarily joking about hoping to take on the next leading role of the popular dating show, many of her fans seemed to think she would make an excellent candidate.
“And this would be the first season of the Bachelorette I would actually watch,” wrote one person.
“PLEASE I will tune in so quick,” wrote another.
Since the end of her relationship with Kelce, Nicole has been open and honest about what she hopes for in a future partner.
During a November 2025 episode of The Boyfriend Material podcast, she revealed, “I keep saying I don't want to date any more athletes. But I'm down to date the owners of the teams.”
“I’m really open, the bar is in hell these days,” she added.
Many fans were excited when Paul, who also stars on the hit show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, was cast to be the new Bachelorette last September.
However, right before the show was about to premiere, Paul became the subject of much controversy due to domestic violence allegations. A disturbing video was released showing a violent incident between her and her ex, Dakota Mortensen. The incident led to her being arrested in 2023.
Following the release of the video, ABC decided to pull the entire season.
