Jennifer Aniston’s new boyfriend, 50-year-old hypnotist Jim Curtis, is finally spilling the details about how the pair’s romance began.
While Aniston and Curtis have been dating for nearly a year, they have both remained fairly private about their relationship until now. In July of 2025, the pair were first spotted packing on the PDA while vacationing on a luxury yacht in the Spanish island of Mallorca. They were joined by fellow stars, including Jason Bateman and comedian Amy Schumer.
However, Aniston and Curtis didn’t go Instagram official until months later when Aniston shared a black and white photo to her Instagram page that showed them both embracing.
“Happy birthday my love, Cherished ❤️,” she captioned the post.
Curtis appeared on the Today show on January 26 to promote his new book, “Book of Possibility”. While on the show, he finally shared some of the details that fans have been longing for about how he and Aniston began dating.
“We were just introduced by friends. That’s it. We found out that we had mutual friends and we started to just chat,” he explained.
Co-host Craig Melvin jokingly asked Curtis which of Aniston’s Friends co-stars set the pair up, to which Curtis responded that they all did and that they “chatted for a long time” and “became close.”
Curtis was reluctant to reveal exactly how long he and Aniston have been together, but did acknowledge that it wasn’t something that happened overnight.
“It took a long time,” he said. “A long time. Months now, almost close to a year.”
When Melvin pointed out that Curtis was beginning to blush from this line of questioning, Curtis laughed. “OK, yeah. I sure am,” he said.
Aniston hasn’t shared much about her romance with Curtis. However, during an interview with Elle, she did say that he was “Very special, very normal, and very kind.”
