Ahead of the opening of Walt Disney World and Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy Edgetheme park in June, a Marvel Entertainment comic based on Disney's upcoming project will be released in April.

The five-issue miniseries will aim to familiarize readers the the mythology of the Black Spire Outpost, the fictional spaceport on Batuu where the upcoming Disney attraction will be located.

The project is being executed by writer Ethan Sacks and artist Will Sliney. The former contributed to the Star Wars: Age of Republic series and the latter worked on the Solo: A Star Wars Story adaptation. Each of the covers will be done by concept artists at Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm.

Sacks will introduce readers to Dok-Ondar, an Ithorian antique collector who may or may not have to save his outpost when the First Order arrives, according to the official Star Wars website. During an interview with StarWars.com, Sacks explained the character and hinted at one of the challenges Dok-Ondar may have to confront. "He’s a mysterious Ithorian who is the proprietor of the most notorious antiquities shop in the galaxy. And every item has a story behind it. Some more dangerous to listen to than others," Sacks explained.

Sacks continued by discussing the Galaxy Edge collaboration between Disney and Marvel. “Our series will give fans the chance to visit Black Spire Outpost months ahead of voyaging to Batuu in person. Armed with top-secret sketches and information from Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm, we are keeping this authentic to the spirit of this rich new setting. I’d tell you more, but I already have the death sentence on 12 systems…”
