Earlier today, the Associated Press reported that Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, notorious drug lord and formerly the No. 1 most wanted by the American DEA, has escaped from a maximum-security prison and is currently at large.
El Chapo escaped through a 1-mi. long tunnel from a small opening in his cell. A manhunt for the leader of the wide-reaching Sinaloa Cartel began late Saturday, but if authorities do not locate him in 48 hours, it is believed they may not be able to capture him a second time.
All that, and a man whose idea of national security involves simply putting a wall between the U.S. and Mexico, thinks he could probably go toe-to-to with El Chapo.
Trump also used this moment to defend his presidential candidacy, and his blunder last month when he called Mexican immigrants "rapists" and said they were the worst that Mexico has to offer.
He told us so, guys! Ugh, why didn't we listen.
